Technical FAQs: Advanced Ordering System for Aloha
Error Message: ActiveX component can not create object.
Error Message: Lone Tree Software Dongle not found / License Expired.
Table Service: iber.exe - Application Error "The memory could not be written."
Error Message: "AdvOrder Read Error - Error reading ini file value".
Advanced Order prints every minute.
PROBLEM: Aloha End of Day hangs.
SOLUTION: Advance Ordering dated sub-directories are interfeing with Aloha EOD. A new version of Advanced Ordering for BOH & FOH and AdvFoh.dll is available to address this problem. Click Here to download the new versions.
The Advanced Ordering software will now create dated sub-directories with the letter "A" attached to the end. Rename any future dated subs with an "A" to prevent any further EOD issues.. Place the ADVBOH.exe file in Aloha\ADVORDER directory and place the ADVFOH.exe file in Copy the DLL to the Aloha\AdvOrder directory on all terminals. Register the DLL using Regsvr32 from a DOS command prompt. Ex: Type: CD \Aloha\AdvOrder , then hit Enter. Type: Regsvr32 AdvFoh.dll. Windows will alert you that the DLL has been succesfully registered. Reboot the terminal.
PROBLEM: ERROR MESSAGE: ActiveX component can not create object.
CAUSE:
The DCOM Configuration security settings on the BOH Server Machine are not configured to allow Everyone to access the system.
SOLUTION:
Make sure that under the DCOM Default Security that Default Access and Default Launch Permissions allow EVERYONE to access the system. If not, add the EVERYONE object, with ALLOW ACCESS (see below). Check this for both Default Access and Default Launch.
PROBLEM: ERROR MESSAGE: Lone Tree Software Dongle not found / License Expired.
CAUSE:
Key Service is not running or did not install succesfully.
SOLUTION:
On BOH, click Start menu, then choose Control Panel- Administrative Tools- Services. Right click on Key Service and choose restart. If this does not fix the problem, Click Here to download the Key Install application.
PROBLEM: After Aloha refresh, FOH terminal displays the following message:

A new version of MSVBVM60.dll is available. Click here to Download the new version (6.0.96.90).
Install Procedure:
- Unzip and copy into the WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 directory on each FOH terminal running the Advanced Ordering system;
- Open a DOS command box on the terminal and change the directory to WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
- From the DOS command box, type regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll
- Hit Enter and restart the terminal.
PROBLEM: Error Message: "AdvOrder Read Error - Error reading ini file value"
CAUSE:
The Microsoft Scripting Runtime library has not been registered on the FOH terminal.
SOLUTION: Open a command prompt, and change directory to the Windows/System32 directory (WinNt on Windows 2000). Enter the following command: regsvr32 scrrun.dll . Then hit enter and you will be prompted with the results of the registration.
PROBLEM: Error Message: The same Advanced Order continues to print every minute.
CAUSE:
Fast Close is set in Aloha manager.
SOLUTION: Turn off Fast close. Fast close cannot be set in Aloha when using Advanced Ordering solution.
