Technical FAQs: Capton Beverage Tracker POS Interface
PROBLEM: When doing 'Line pours' or 'Pyramid shots', BTPOSI only accounts for one pour.
REASON: Capton Beverage Tracker can not account for 'Line pours' or 'Pyramid shots' since the spout device does not become disengaged during the pour. The result will be a single pour of mutliple ounces.
Solution: The 'Ingredient Usage Analysis' report should suffice in tracking liquor usage of this type.
PROBLEM: During initial reporting of liqour, all reports show no data.
REASON: Recipes have not yet been matched to specific trackable liquors.
Solution: Assign recipes to liqour (or other trackable items) in BTPOSI. Then unmatch the data (located on the 'Home' page). Next, match the data to ensure that all recipes are freshly matched to items.
PROBLEM: After initial execution of POS Data Feed, I am unable to locate the accompanying 'Categories' file.
Solution: Open the POS Data Feed configuration program and verify the output path. All POS related Data Feed files will be located in the specified directory.
PROBLEM: How can I create recipes that have flexible ingredient assignments?.
Solution: Navigate to the 'Ingredient Groups' page. Click on the button designated with a plus (+) sign. Enter a name for the ingredient group. Add POS items (ingredients) from the pane located on the right side of the form. (Example: Vodka Tonic recipe can be created with several different vodkas. Group all the vodkas into an ingredient group called 'Vodka' to allow the recipe to be 'flexible'.)
PROBLEM: How can I quickly create recipes that encompass current POS items?.
Solution: Navigate to the 'Recipe Mapping' page. Click on the 'Auto Match All POS Items To Recipes' button. Selecting this feature will cause the program to compare all POS Item Descriptions to all available recipe names. POS Items which do not already have a recipe assigned, but whose name matches an existing recipe name, will be automatically assigned the recipe.
